Welcome, and thank you for visiting my campaign website! I’m honored by your interest and excited for the opportunity to earn your vote this May!
In May 2025, I was appointed by the Board of Trustees to serve as a Trustee At-Large. Though my time on the Board has been brief, it’s been an incredible experience, and I’m proud of the outstanding work happening every day in Belton ISD classrooms.
As a second-generation Belton Tiger (Class of ’05), Belton ISD is deeply personal to me. My wife, Jessica, and I have four children, two currently enrolled in BISD and two more who will be in elementary school before we know it! The opportunities this district has provided my family have been a blessing, and I’m committed to ensuring every student has the same chance to learn and succeed.
My service includes roles on the Belton Education Foundation Board, the 2022 Bond Exploration and Oversight Committees, and the 2024 Budget Advisory Committee. Beyond ISD work, I serve as Board President of the Belton Economic Development Corporation, as a Board Member of the Temple Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone and as Past President and Director Emeritus of Bell County Rising Leaders.
I am a certified public accountant, and prior to returning to the private sector in October of 2024, I served as Vice President of Administrative Services and Chief Financial Officer for Temple College, and before that as Director of Finance for the City of Belton. As a member of the Belton ISD Board Budget Committee, I have the opportunity to leverage my experience in government finance to help Belton ISD continue to thrive.
Thank you again for stopping by! I’d love to hear from you. Please visit the Contact page to share thoughts or questions. If you’d like to support our campaign, visit Get Involved. Together, we can keep Belton ISD moving forward!
My Priorities
-
Belton ISD’s most important work happens in the classroom. Our district made meaningful progress last year, including improving our TEA Accountability Rating from a C to a B, a reflection of the hard work of our teachers, students, and staff. We must build on that momentum by continuing to raise expectations and strengthening the instructional support our educators need.
Academic excellence means ensuring every student has access to high‑quality instruction, safe and engaging learning environments, and opportunities that prepare them for success in college, career, or military pathways. By investing in our classrooms, supporting our teachers, and expanding opportunities in core academics, CTE, STEM, fine arts, and extracurriculars, we can continue moving forward.
Academic excellence means:
Supporting teachers with strong instructional resources and professional development
Strengthening reading, math, and core academic foundations
Expanding pathways for student interest and future readiness
Creating safe, welcoming campuses where every child can thrive
-
As a certified public accountant with extensive experience in public sector and educational finance, I believe responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars is essential. While Belton ISD’s enrollment growth has slowed in recent years, this provides a critical opportunity: to refocus on investing in our current schools and programs so the district remains strong and prepared for future growth.
Fiscal responsibility is about long‑term planning, transparency, and ensuring that every dollar supports student success. Families and taxpayers deserve confidence that resources are used effectively and strategically, particularly when growth patterns shift.
Fiscal responsibility means:
Transparent budgeting and clear communication with the community
Prioritizing investments that strengthen existing campuses and programs
Ensuring district resources support teachers and students first
Delivering creative solutions that enhance student experiences while stretching every taxpayer dollar
-
Belton ISD thrives when families, teachers, and the community work together. Strong communication and collaboration build trust and ensure the district reflects the values of the people it serves. Parents should feel informed and empowered, teachers should feel supported and respected, and community members should feel confident in the district’s direction.
Community partnership is about listening, being accessible, and making decisions transparently. By strengthening these relationships, we can continue building a district that supports families today and attracts future families to our community.
Community partnership means:
Honest, open communication with families and stakeholders
Encouraging parent engagement and community involvement
Supporting and valuing teachers and staff through collaboration
Building trust through transparency and responsible decision‑making
